Gum recession refers to the loss of gum tissue along the gum line. When this occurs the root of the tooth becomes exposed.

Since healthy gums are essential for a healthy mouth, getting gum recession treated is important.

The technique used at DentalDocs to treat gum recession is the CHAO Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST).

In this technique there is no grafts, no sutures and no incisions. A small hole is made with a needle which allows the dentist access to gently loosen the gum tissue to cover the exposed roots.

It simply involves the adjustment of the existing tissues. There is very little discomfort with this technique with a fast recovery and a natural looking long lasting result.
